Run your first fundraiser
Create a fundraiser, make it look like your organization, and get it in front of donors.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You need a role that can manage accounts (Owner, Admin, or Finance).
- You need at least one fundraising account. If you don’t have one yet, create it under Manage → Accounts first.
- It helps to connect a payment provider before you start, though you can also do this later.
- Go to Fundraisers (
/fundraisers) and click Create your first fundraiser, or go directly to/fundraisers/new. - On the Basics step, enter a Fundraiser Name, an optional Short Description, and set the Start Date, Start Time, End Date, and End Time. Check the Timezone.
- On the Donations step, choose Suggested Amounts (donors pick a preset or enter their own) or Fixed Amount (everyone pays the same amount), then set your amounts and whether to allow multiple donations.
- On the Payment step, select a connected payment provider. If none is connected yet, you can skip this and add it later from the fundraiser’s Settings tab.
- On the Goal step, optionally set a Fundraising Goal and turn on Show Goal Progress to display a progress bar.
- Review everything on the Review & Create step, then click Create Fundraiser. New fundraisers start as a draft, so nothing is public yet.
- On the fundraiser’s Branding tab, set a Color, a Short Description, a Long Description, and any Rules & Terms, then click Save Branding.
- On the Settings tab, confirm a payment provider is attached and turn on Show on public page if you want the fundraiser listed publicly.
- Click Go Live at the top of the page. This requires a payment provider and both a start and end date.
- On the Share tab, copy the giving link with Copy link, download a Poster or Bulletin insert with a QR code, or copy the embed script or iframe for your website. These options only work once the fundraiser is live, public, and has a payment provider.
- Track results on the Overview tab, which shows Amount Raised, Total Donations, Paid/Pending counts, and goal progress. Click View Donations for the full donation list.
What’s next
